September 15 is another special day at Alpenglow: It'll mark one year since Susan Motyl-Smith became the sole owner of the restaurant, which opened its doors in July 2021.

Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains at 9 West Main Street, Wilmington, Vermont, Alpenglow Bistro is a culinary gem offering a delightful fusion of classic German and Austrian dishes with a modern French flair. 

Sheepskin throws and candles lend a cozy ambiance to the Alpenglow Bistro, where the menu starts with Bavarian pretzels and oysters before letting you move on to Alpine favorites as savory crepes, fondues, and bratwurst.
